Technergetics Joins NORDTECH to Accelerate the Future of Defense Innovation

We are pleased to announce that Technergetics has become an official member of the Northeast Regional Defense Technology Hub (NORDTECH). As a Utica, NY-based team, we are excited to serve as a local conduit, connecting the breakthrough technologies developed by NORDTech members to mission-ready capabilities for the DoW. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the mission to bridge the "lab-to-fab" gap, combining our world-class Quantum and AI expertise with the nation’s leading microelectronics prototyping network.

As the Department of War (DoW) prioritizes the onshoring of critical technologies and the rapid modernization of the warfighter's toolkit, this collaboration between a veteran-led small business technology innovator and a Microelectronics Commons powerhouse couldn't come at a more vital time.

Who is NORDTECH?

NORDTECH is one of eight regional hubs established under the U.S. Microelectronics Commons program, funded by the CHIPS and Science Act. Based in New York and led by a consortium including NY CREATES, Cornell University, and IBM, NORDTECH’s primary mission is to ensure that groundbreaking discoveries in the laboratory don’t get stuck in the "valley of death." Instead, they are transitioned into scalable, domestic manufacturing, ensuring our national security is backed by a secure and reliable supply of advanced semiconductors.

The Technergetics Edge

Technergetics is positioned at the operational edge of the NORDTech corridor - minutes from AFRL/RI and under an hour from the Albany foundry. This enables Technergetics to serve as a primary innovation and integration node, transforming regional hardware innovations into advanced DoW solutions.

As we look toward 2026, the synergy between NORDTECH’s fabrication capabilities and Technergetics’ digital innovation will undoubtedly lead to breakthroughs in Quantum Networking, Secure Edge Computing, and AI-enabled ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance).
